Hepcat were formed in 1989 at Southern California. The band comprised of "Greg Lee" and "Alex Desert" on vocals, "Deston Berry" on keyboard, "Aaron Owens" on guitar, "Dave Fuentes" on bass, "Efren Santana" and "Raul Talavera" on saxophone, "Kincaid Smith" on trumpet and "Scott Abels" on drum. Their debut album, Out of Nowhere was released in 1993 under Moon Records. After two years, Scientific was released under BYO Records. In 1999, Raul and Alex left the band. Their next album, Push N Shove was released in 2000. After the released, the band went on leave of music industry. They came back in 2003 with former member Raul.
