[edit] About

Christian band Hawk Nelson formed on 2003 in Peterborough, Ontario. The line-up was composed of Jason Dunn (vocals), Davin Clark (guitar), Daniel Biro (bass) and Matt Paige (drums). The band released their debut, Saturday Rock Action, which gained them popularity. Tooth and Nail Label’s Trevor McNevan was impressed with the sounds of Hawk Nelson and signed them in.

In 2004, the band debut album, Letters to the President was issued. Hawk Nelson even appeared on the TV series, American Dream, where they played The Who’s “My Generation”. They added some few changes in the line-up later on. Jonathan Steingard replaced Clark and Aaron “Sqwid” Totsi was the new drummer. In 2005, they appeared on the film, Yours, Mine &Ours, playing “Bring ‘Em Out”. The following year, Hawk Nelson released Smile, It’s the End of the World. Hawk Nelson Is My Friend followed in 2008.

[edit] Reviews

Hawk Nelson delivers sweet harmonies and up beat tempos. They are not afraid to deliver all kinds of emotions into their music. The band is entirely original but they add up a but of spice into their tracks. --Mimi 07:30, 1 October 2008 (PST)
