[edit] About
Gravediggaz was formed on 1994 and the group's name means "digging graves of the mentally dead, and it stood for resurrecting the mentally dead from their state of unawareness and ignorance", this is according to group member Frukwan.
The group's debut album was released on August 9, 1994 originally entitled "Niggamortis" but was later changed to 6 Feet Deep for the purposeful American market. However, it remained at its original title for all European releases. The album was a mixed of black humor with a mix of violently created cartoony output. The second album was released on 1997 entitled The Pick, the Sickle and the Shovel which shows the lax and calmer production type of music.
A rumored album entitled "Scenes from the Graveyard" surfaced on 1998 with Too Poetic, known as the Grym Reaper of the group made a major contribution. However, he succumed to colon cancer and passed away. This incident led to seven unreleased songs of the album. And so, a third album was released three years after on 2001 entitled Nightmare in A-Minor. The said album contains the unreleased tracks of the rumored unreleased album. And deals about the struggle of Poetic after being struck with the deadly ailment.
The fourth album released was Six Feet Under, which is a compilation album featuring songs from "Nightmare in A-Minor" and "Life", which happens to be Frukwan's debut album.
