About
Jars of Clay, one of Christian rock's most enduring artists, strikes another remarkable release in the name of Good Monsters. The album contains eleven original tracks and a remake of Julie Millers "All My Tears." The album is indeed edged to a more solid rock, which is evident in the track "Work." It's a combination of how we've come to know the band as well, from southern rock, to folk-country ("There is a River") and ballady ("Even Angels Cry"). The band also had guest appearances including singer/songwriter Kate York ("Even Angels Cry"), former Sixpence None the Richer's Leigh Nash ("Mirrors & Smoke") and the African Children's Choir ("Light Gives Heat").
Good Monsters landed on number one spot at Christian Music Today's Best Albums of 2006. CCM Magazine likewise awarded Good Monsters its "Album of the Year" award and its first "A+" rating in several years. The magazine called the record the most profound album the Christian music community has released in years.

Reviews
Good Monsters displays how Jars of Clay have grown remarkably in their journey of more than a decade in music. The forceful lyrics that pronounce reality and sheer honesty speaks to every listening ear, not just to a particular audience. That gives the album more impact on listeners and reviewers alike. -jamie
