About
Girl Authority was formed in Massachussettes in 2005 by "Samantha Hammel", "Scott Billington" and "John Virant". The group comprised of nine-member girl group, ranging in ages 10 to 16 years old. Members have different persona based on the songs they would like o sing like "Country Girl Crystal", "Glamour Girl Carly", "Preppy Girl Zoe", "Bohemian or Boho", "Girl Jess", "Urban Girl Gina", "Party Girl Kate", "Rock-n-Roll Girl Tarr", "All-Star Girl Jacqueline", and "Fashion Girl Alex".
The girls appeared in the musical theater for five years before joining Girls Authority. Their self-titled debut album was released in April 2006 under Zoe Records. The album chartered #9 on Bilboard's Top Kid Audio Chart and #17 on the Top Heatseekers Chart". Their next album, Road Trip was released on March 13, 2007. It chartered #30 on the Top Heatseekers Chart and #10 on Tok Kid Audio Chart.
