Ginuwine is one of the most successful R&B singers. His biggest hit selling album is Ginuwine The Bachelor.

Ginuwine was born in Washington, D.C. on October 15, 1975. His real name is Elgin Baylor Lumpkin, named after a basketmal hall of famer, Elgin Baylor. Ginuwine was influenced by Michael Jackson and Prince. By the age of 12, he already started performing at bars and parties. He was also an impressionist of Michael Jackson. He met up with a producer, Timbaland and they produced hus debut single "Pony". That track earned him a deal with Sony's 550 Music imprint.
Later on Ginuwine with Timbaland behind his back released his debut album, Ginuwine The Bachelor, it became a double platinum hit. In 1999, he came back with his second album, 100% Ginuwine. It entered at #5 on the pop charts. The album includes the hits "So Anxious" and "None of Ur Friends Business" climbing the R&B charts at #2 and #7. In the spring of 2001 his third album, The Life was released. The following year Ginuwine made his feature film debut on the comedy Juwanna Mann. He also worked with R&B singer P. Diddy on "I Need a Girl, Pt. 2". In 2003, his fourth album, The Senior was released.
