Gavin DeGraw, an American singer who's hit I Don't Want To Be made him famous overnight. The song became a favorite for TV shows, and even becoming the theme song for the CW's top-rated drama, One Tree Hill.

Born on February 4, 1977 in South Fallsburg, New York to his prison guard father and detox specialist mother. He has one brother named Joey who is also a recording artist and played guitar and sung with Gavin. Gavin was into music all his life. He is now a bonafide singer, songwriter, pianist and guitarist. He began playing around Manhattan clubs then began establishing a local fan base. He then moved to touring in small venues throughout the US.
After such a huge success in the concert scene, he already has a big following that ended him up appearing on television shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and Live with Regis & Kelly.
He released his debut album, Chariot in 2003 and his hit single I Don't Want To Be garnered critical acclaim and chart success. DeGraw landed himself cameos in TV shows like in American Dreams, Dead Like Me, and What I Like About You. His single also became the theme song for One Tree Hill, even appearing on the show as a singer in Karen's Cafe. The show cemented Gavin as one of the most sought-after musicians in 2004.
The album spun a Chariot Stripped released in 2004. The album contains more of alternate live acoustic versions of the original album's songs.
The original release features a more radio-friendly pop album, whereas his stripped version showcases his talents better as a vocalist and performer.
To date, DeGraw has already toured with other famous acts lke Barenaked Ladies, Butterfly Butcher, The Allman Brothers, Mac Broussard, and Maroon 5. He returns to the studio to record his next album. There is no definite date yet but accodring to his official website, sometime in January or February 2007.
