Funkadelic was a sister band of the Parliament which "George Clinton" build. They released their hit album. One Nation Under A Groove in 1978.

About

Funkadelic was formed in the 70's being the back up of Parliament. The band was consist of Frankie Boyce for guitar, Richard Boyce on bass and Langston Booth for drum. The group enlisted in the army in 1966. In 1967, the leader of the Parliament, George Clinton recruited Billy Bass Nelson and Eddie Hazel. After several temporary replacements, the band added ‘’Lucius Tawi Ross’’ for guitars and Ramon ‘’Tiki Fulwood’’ for drums to complete the line-up

The first self-titled album of the band was released in 1970. It was followed by Free Your Mind...And Your Ass Will Follow. After the released of their third album, Maggot Brain in 1971, Bootsy and Catfish Collins joined the band. In 1972, most of the members left the group due to internal problems. Michael Hampton replaces Hazel.

The band released their next album, Hardcore Jellies in 1976 under Warner Bros. Records. The band has released more than 10 studio and compilation albums before they released their last album, The Electric Spanking of War Babies.
