Franco de Vita is a Latin Pop Singer who rose to fame via his hit self-titled debut album.

Franco de Vita or "Franco Atilio De Vita De Vito" in real life was born on January 23, 1954 in Caracas, Valenzuela to "Ferdinando De Vita" and "Rosa De Vito". At 3 years old, his family returned backed in Italy. At the age of 13, they returned to Valenzuela. After finishing high school, Franco studied music.
Franco formed his own band called Icaro in 1982. They released their self-titled album in that same year. A year later, decided to go solo. He released his self-titled album in 1983, which features the hit singles, "Somo Tres", "No Hay Cielo" and "Un Buen Perdedor". The album achieved Platinum status. His next album, Fantasia was released in 1986 with the singles, "Aquí Estás Otra Vez" and “Sólo Importas Tu".
Franco signed a recording contract with one of the major label company, Sony Records. He released his album, Al Norte Del Sur in 1988, which is a big hit. It spawned the singles, "Te Amo" and "Louis". His 1990 album, Extranjero features the hit single, "No Basta" which went number 1 on the US Latin Chart for 4 weeks. After that, he released more hit albums like, En Vivo Marzo 16 and Nada Es Igual to name the few.
