For Emma, Forever Ago was released on February 19, 2008 under 4AD records. The album hit no.1 on the U.S. Top Heatseekers and no.64 on the U.S. Billboard 200. The album has a bonus track "Wisconsin". The track "Skinny Love" was used in the series' season 5 premier. Another song "Re: Stacks" was also played during the season 4 finale "Wilson's Heart" of the TV show House M.D.
