The album contains songs written by Amy Lee and Ben Moody, although some songs were co-written by ex-band member Hodges. The album was released worldwide (not like their other album Origin which was only released in limited numbers in their hometown). The album spent 60 weeks in the UK album charts and remained on US charts for 100 weeks. The album was also the eight best-selling album in the US in 2004.
