Every Man For Himself

Hoobastank comes back to the music scene with yet another exquisitely arranged album. No, the band is not breaking up! Even if the title somehow implies such. This album features experimentally new and different songs from "Born To Lead" to dance floor tuned "Inside Of You".

About

An album that contrasts its title Every Man For Himself, this album showcases the band's unified efforts to effectively produce a soundtrack not overly-ballad, but still touching to the audiences.

Released in May 16, 2006 under Island Records, the record includes other instruments like the flute in the track "More Than A Memory", the band's signature mushy ballads "If I Were You" and "Born To Lead". It is definitely more daring and diverse, with a touch of metal, dance-floor music and a different sounds.

Trivia

  • It also comes in green album cover, but the songs are the same, just as good. Save yourselves from the extra costs, everyone; unless green's your favorite color.
  • Born To Lead creatively ends with a helicopter driving off the distance, something that you don't hear often from the albums by Hoobastank. Though it reminds the listeners of the plane in The Wall.
  • The band also mysteriously gives to the fans "The First Of Me" wherein every listener can give their own positive interpretation of the song.

Reviews

  • This album unbelievably surpasses their previous album "The Reason". They still have their charming ballads up in the tracks of the song, but managed to put a little of heavy metal and put up a fast-paced song. Some albums, you'd like the first track, and the rest just goes to waste, this one, nothing's a filler. It all gives the satisfaction to their listeners. Generally, the band has grown into something better. -Vheliefish 03:19, 4 November 2006 (PST)
