[edit] About

Alternative rock band Evans_Blue met in 2003 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada but they became a band two years later. The members met responding in a message board left by another musician. The line-up is composed of Kevin Matisyn (vocals), Vlad Tanaskovic (lead guitar), Parker Lauzon (rhythm guitar), Joe Pitter (bass) and Darryl Brown (drums).

In 2005, Evans_Blue signed with Pocket Records. They were working with Cool of August’s Trevor Kustiak in the studio. The following year, it led to the release of their debut album, The Melody and the Energetic Nature of Volume. During the tour of Evan Blue with Taproot, Brown suddenly left the band. He was being quickly replaced by David Howard. In 2007, The Pursuit Begins When This Portrayal of Life Ends was issued.

  • The Lead singer Kevin Matisyn suggested the name, which refers to the dye that is injected into the bloodstream to measure blood volume, which he had read in one of his medical books.

[edit] Reviews

Evans Blue has nothing really special to offer but they are not bad either. Their songs are good but not excellent. Just another average band who can play. Their songs are likable just not memorable. --Mimi 11:10, 25 February 2008 (PST)
