Estelle is an award winning singer, rapper, songwriter and record producer. She is the first female artist signed by legendary John Legend to his new Homeschool Records label.

About
English R&B and soul artist, Estelle (Fanta Estelle Swaray), was born on January 18, 1980 in London England. She was raised in West London. As Estelle grew up, she was surrounded by poverty and drugs. Her mother protected them from the bad crowd. They were very religious. Estelle was the second child of eight sibling, this taught her to be responsible. She found comfort in music. She was only allowed to listen to gospel in their house but during high school Estelle would sneak to listen to hip hop. Estelle began playing in local clubs around london. She made her debut in 2004 with The 18th Day under V2 Records. The rising artist worked with Kanye West, Wyclef Jean, Mark Ronson, Will.i.am and John Legend. It includes the hit single "1980". In 2007, she moved from her hometown to New York City. Estelle signed in John Legend's Homeschool label. They issued her follow-up album, Shine, which peaked at #6 at the UK charts.
