One-half of the legendary hip-hop duo EPMD, Erick Sermon was also among the genre's most prominent producers and also a solo Hip-Hop Artist. He did several solo albums like the hit one, No Pressure.

Erick Sermon was born on November 25, 1968 at Bay Shore New York. Erick is a former member of the group, EPMD. In 1993, he released his first solo album, No Pressure under Def Jam Records. The album chartered at #16 on US Billboard 200 and #2 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. His second album, Double or Nothing was issued in 1995 which landed at #35 on US Billboard 200 and #6 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. He rejoined EPMD on 1997. The group was disbanded in 1999. In 2000 he signed a recording contract under J Records. His next solo album, Music was released in 2001. The album reached #33 on US Billboard 200 and #8 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. In 2002, his next album, React was released. It features the single with the same album title and became a major hit single. His next album, Chilltown, New York was released in 2004. In 2006, he produced the single, "Goldmine" of Busta Rhymes.
