About
Eric Johnson was born August 17, 1954 in Austin, Texas who has a musically inclined family to include his three sisters whom Eric studied piano with. At an early age of 11, Eric picked the guitar, creating himself into a monster guitarist. Eric, at an early age of 15 became a member of the band named Mariani. His records have become benchmarks for the elusive pursuit of excellence in both technique and articulation.

Eric Johnson will also be joining the G3 Latin tour this fall with Joe Satriani and John Petrucci, and will appear in Mexico and South America. Confirmed tour dates are pending.

For a select number of dates only, Johnson will appear as Steve Miller Band's special guest, performing songs off his recent Grammy nominated album Bloom as well as such fan- favorites as the Grammy Award winning song Cliffs Of Dover. A long-time favorite of Miller's audience, Johnson has toured in support of Miller since 1991.
