East 2 West Crossing Continents is a 2006 collaboration album by Doublemoon from various artist including Shantel and Baba Zula, Sultan Tunç and Selda Bağcan as well as many other Turkish and foreign master musicians which makes up the highlight of the album. Mad Professor attracts attention for his interpretation of Baba Zula’s song “Free Spirit”, and East2West alumni İlhan Erşahin and Burhan Öçal return to the series with fresh and previously unreleased material.

Step aboard the Doublemoon ship and set sail from Turkey to stop over in a village on the coast of neighboring Greece to discover the sounds of Savvas Pavlidis on the track Underworld , before landing in London to hear the Forty Thieves join the East2West series for the first time. “Crossing Continents” is an album where the enchantingly strange and eerily familiar sounds of Istanbul are sent out into the Universe, proving that the world turns to bring us closer and closer together.
