Dummy is the debut album of Bristol band Portishead.

Dummy was released on August 22, 1994 through Go Disc Records in London. In the present this album is already considered a classic one being dubbed as one of the most influential album in the 1990's.


The reception was good as it reached number 2 in the UK Albums chart and number 79 in the Billboard Hot 200 albums chart. The album spawned three singles led by the hit single "Numb" the other two singles are "Glory Box" and "Sour Times".
