About
Dressy Bessy was formed in 1996 by lead vocalist/guitarist Tammy Ealom, drummer Darren Albert, and bassist Rob Greene. Before this, Ealom was also a member of 40th Day and Minders. Guitarist John Hill, who also plays for The Apples in Stereo, became part of the Dressy Bessy sometime in 1998. The band was able to release two singles and an EP from 1997 to 1998. In 1999, they came up with their debut album, Pink Hearts, Yellow Moons. This was followed by two more full-length releases, Sound Go Round and Dressy Bessy (album) in 2002 and 2003, respectively, under the now-defunct Kindercore Records. Albert left the band in 2004 and was replaced by drummer Craig Gilbert a year later. In 2005, the band signed a deal with Transdreamer Records, and was able to record and release their fourth album, Electrified.
