Don't Cry Now is Linda Ronstadt first studio album for Asylum Records after three solo albums from her previous label, Capitol. The album debuted at the Billboard album chart at number 45 which was the highest that she has achieved so far and spent more than a year in the chart. The tracks in the album was produced individually. Some of the producers are, John Boylan, J. D. Souther and former member of the 60's rock duo, Peter & Gordon, Peter Asher.
