About
Dogstar was formed in 1991 when the famous actor, "Keanu Reeves" and "Robert Mailhouse" met at supermarket. Keanu noticed that Robert was wearing a Detroit Redwings Hockey Sweater. Keanu is an avid hockey fan and a keen player of the sport so he asked Robert if he wants a goalie. Robert said that he needed a goalie and from there, the two developed into friendship. Before long, their love of music led them to private jamming. They decided to play for a live audience, at first they are named, "Small Fecal Matter" then changed it to "BFS" befored they settled to Dogstar. Keanu has composed a couple of songs entitled "Isabelle" and "Round C" for the band. Later, "Bret Domrose" joined the group. Finally, to complete the line-up, "Sheryl Crow" joined the band. In 1995, they opened for Bon Jovi in Australia and shared a stage with David Bowie in New Zealand.
In 1996, they released their first EP, Quattro Formaggi under Zoo Entertainment. Their first album, Our Little Visionary was released on September 1996. Their next album, Happy Ending was released on July 2000. They performed their last jamming in 2002. Keanu left the band because of his busy schedule, but he still plays with the band sometimes.
