Distort Yourself is the debut and sole album released by alternative rock band Institute.

The album was released on September 13, 2005 by Interscope Records and debuted at # 81 on the U.S. Billboard 200 albums charts. It sold over 12,000 copies on its first week and has a total U.S. sales of only 54,000 copies as of April of 2008.


The first single of the album is "Bullet Proof" that reached the 28th spot on the U.S. Mainstream Rock chart and 29th spot on the Modern Rock chart. The song was featured on the movie Stealth soundtrack and the video presentation of National Hockey League 2006.
