Dirty Diamonds

Alice Cooper's latest show, Dirty Diamonds is superior to the Eyes Of Alice Cooper in every way. This album definitely has a 70's feel to it, with a small doze of early 80's Alice mixed in. The lyrics are extremely clever and the music is sensational. The new album pulls from classic stuff across the years - everything from Killer to Brutal Planet, with heaping spoonfulls of Special Forces and From the Inside thrown in for good effect.

About

Alice Cooper compared down his sound and came to terms with his inner garage on the nearly overdubless The Eyes of Alice Cooper. The album was worthy redemption from the big-money blandness of his mid-'80s recordings and a nice return to form after flirting with the industrial-flavored metal that defined his late-'90s material. Dirty Diamonds stays the course, and while it's not Killer or Love It to Death, it at least sounds like it's from the guy who was responsible for those classics.
