Dilated Peoples was formed in 1992 by, "DJ Babu", "Rakaa" and "Evidence". They recorded the singles, "Third Degree" and "Work The Angles" under ABB Records. In 2000, they signed a recording contract under Capitol Records and released their debut album, The Platform. The album chartered at #74 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart and #30 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart.
Their next album, Expansion Team was issued in 2001. It features the singles, "Survival Of The Fittest" and "I Forgot To Be Your Lover". The album landed #8 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart and #36 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart. Their next album, Neighborhood Watch was issued in 2004. It debuted at #55 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart and #16 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. The album features the single, "Who's Who?" which chartered at #35 on the UK Singles Chart.
In 2006, their next album, 20/20 was released and chartered at #35 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart and #97 on Billboard 200 Albums Chart. It features the single, "Back Again". Their latest album, The Release Party was released last July 2007 under Deacon Records.
