Dierks Bentley is an American country music singer and also associated with the alternative coutnry band, Cross Canadian Ragweed.

About
Born on November 20, 1975 in Phoenix, Arizona, Dierks Bentley grew up listening to acts such as George Strait and Hank Williams. He graduated from a prestigious prep school, The Lawrence School in 1993 before moving to Nashville, Tennessee.
During his stay there, he worked for The Nashville Network and eventually learned more anout country music. From what he learned, he began to write songs, recorded a demo which led to a contract with Capitol Records. By 2003, Dierks Bentley released his eponymous debut album where the single What Was I Thinkin'? took the top spot of Country Music charts.
Following its success, his sophomore effort, Modern Day Drifter came out. The album won him a CMT Horizon Award. December same year, he eloped with his high school sweetheart, Cassidy Black and went to Mexico. Long Trip Alone was released in 2006 as his thrid album.
