Reports surfaced - in May 2008 - that Mizz Redz and LaPret severed ties with Devan Brockenberry indefinitely. The details surrounding this split were proven to be false. LaPret asked that such rumors be disregarded and told fans to expect the group back in fall 2009 after his solo run.
[edit] Solo
In 2009, South Capitol Recordings deemed Brockenberry as ‘Non-commercially viable’ and stated he would not launch any solo endeavors under South Capitol, at that time. However in Summer 2009, it was made official, his solo debut record "Mr. OMG" will be featured on the new Profound Intent album Sumthin' U Can Feel in late-2009.
