Delta Goodrem is the only international act or Australian female performer in history to be credited as performer and writer on four ARIA #1 hits. She gave us hits after hits of music making her one of the most successful and sought after singer/performer/songwriter.

About
Born as Delta Lea Goodrem on November 9, 1984 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia to Lea and Denis Goodrem and has a younger brother called Trent. At a very young age she already showed her interest in music and performing.
She attended The Hills Grammar School in the Sydney suburb of Dural she took up piano as a hobby and focused on her music. Even though she loved music so much, sport featured a at large during her childhood. She took part in numerous sport activities such as basketball, netball, swimming and running, with that she kept music out separate from school.
Aside from the music, she also took part in commercials and TV shows. At 7 she appeared in an American commercial for Galoob Toys with her friend Bec Cartwright. She also signed up to be a Besquik girl in which she starred on several of the company's commercials. Moreover, she also made appearances in TV shows like Hey Dad..!, A Country Practice and Police Rescue.
At 13, she recorded a demo CD with five songs she had written and even included her version of the Australian National Anthem. She sent it to managers across Australia and eventaully landed onthe hands of Glenn Wheatly, the manager who guided The River Band and John Farnham to success. At 17, she had signed to Sony Records Australia and recorded some album with some tracks self written, some written for her and others brought in by her label. In November 2001, Sony unsuccefully launched her pop single entitled I Don't Care which peaked at #64 on the ARIA singles chart. The track was a cover version originally recorded by Angela Via which had never been released outside America.
In 2002, while starring in Neighbours, she released her official first single entitles Born To Try. A drastic change from her debut single, the adult contemporary piano pop track debuted #3 and climbed to #1. She released her second single Lost Without You which debuted #1 and stayed there for 2 weeks.
Her debut album Innocent Eyes produced a record of five #1 singles in Austratlia. In almost all the songs in her album she has writing credits including tracks solely written by her, thus making her the only international act or Australian female performer in history to be credited as performer and writer on four ARIA #1 hits.
After a successful debut album, she released her second album Mistaken Identity with the debut single Out of the Blue. The public received her treat and her singles went to #1 in Australia. The album also includes other singles which topped the charts.

- Manager is Glenn Wheatley, most famous for managing John Farnham throughout his career.
- Has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease, a treatable form of cancer. Her career will be put on hold while she receives treatment (July 11th, 2003).
- Only artist to have as many as ten ARIA Award Nominations, and to win as many as nine ARIA Awards (including two viewer voted awards - 2003).
- She is the only artist ever to have as many as five (consecutive) singles peak at #1 from an (debut) album (which also debuted #1 in the ARIA Albums Chart) in the ARIA Singles Chart in Australia (2003).
