Tagged as one of the more innovative and unique rock bands, the Deftones are Grammy award winning experimental alternative rock band. They rose to fame via their debut album, White Pony.

About

Deftones are band formed in Sacramento, California in 1988 by Stephen Carpenter for guitar, Abe Cunningham for drums and Chino Moreno for vocals. The groups soon began performing in local clubs. They send demo tapes and landed on Madonna's label Mavericks


Deftones first album, Adrenaline was released in 1995. It was only a minor hit. The next album, White Pony proved to be their biggest-selling album debuting at number three on album charts. Their latest album, Saturday Night Wrist has sold over 200,000 copies as of March 2007.
