Dave Stewart is one of the most respected and accomplished talents in the music industry today. A prodigious producer of music, film and photography, he has an established career that spans more than 25 years, and has sold more than 40 million albums with Eurythmics' partner Annie Lennox. He also released a solo album, Greetings From The Gutter.

About
Dave Stewart or "David Allen Stewart" in real life was born on September 9, 1952 in Sunderland. Dave was a given a guitar when he was recovering from his injury, and soon mastered it. He formed a band called, Longdancer when he left school in 1971. They signed a recording contract under Elton John's "Rocket Record". The band did not achieve commercial success. In 1976, he met "Annie Lennox" who was introduced to him by a mutual friend. Soon, the two became lovers. In 1977, Longdancers disbanded because Dave and Annie formed a new band called The Catch with "Peet Coombes". They released a single, "I Only Want To Be With You" which became a major hit. The band gained new members and changed their name to The Tourists. They released another single, "So Good To Be Back Home Again".
The band split in 1980. Dave and Annie's relationship has also ended. However, they continued to make music together by forming another band named, Eurythmics, which released several albums, and singles. In the eighties, they sold over 30 million albums and had many sold out world tours. In 1990, the band disbanded. Dave began to pursue other projects like forming another band called, Spirtual Cowboys. The band released two albums. In 1993, he formed Vegas with "Terry Hall", former member of The Specials. They released their self-titled album in that same year.
In 1994, Dave released a solo album, Greetings From The Gutter, it boasted collaborations with artists like Mick Jagger, Carly Simon and Lou Reed. Dave has also released many soundtracks including Lily Was Here, which is a big hit. He reunited with Eurythmics in 1999 and released the album, Peace. He also released a compilation album, Sly-Fi in 1999.”
