Danity Kane is a new American girl group. The group was chosen out of many hopefuls in Making The Band Series. They are composed of 5 members.

The group name was given by one of the member Dawn Angelique. It comes from an animation character.

Dawn Richard loves music so much. Her mother owned a dance studio. Her father is a member of the R&B band Chocolate Milk, he played keyboard. She studied jazz, hip-hop, ballet, and tap. She was the cheerleader of the New Orleans Hornet. After that, she joined the group called Angelique.

Aundrea Fimbres is the youngest in their family. She was a member of a church choir at the age of eight. She joins school plays and when she was a teenager, she began to record in a studio and she joins the Pop group called Intrigue.

Shannon Bex was born in Portland, Ore. Since she was a child, she already loves to sing and dance. At the age of 18, she was the Portland Trailblazers cheerleader. Her favorites are Aerosmith and Garth Brooks. She is only the member who is not single anymore.

D.Woods already made her career in theatre and stage. She also appeared in some commercials and music videos. She trained how to dance ballet, modern, hip-hop and West African dance. Her favorites are Mary J. Blige, Jay-Z and Stevie Wonder.

Aubrey O' Day loves to sing since she was 3 years old. She appeared on some musical shows such as Annie Sound of Music Wizard of Oz Fiddler on the Roof and A Chorus Line. She won singing contest and other talent competitions. She studied at University of California.

Danity Kane's self-titled debut album, was released last August 2006 and sold over 90,000 copies in the first day of release and more than 234,000 in the first week of release. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. The single, Show Stopper from their self-titled debut album was released also on August 2006, debuted at number 17 of the Billboard's Hot 100.
