[edit] About
Daniel John Bedingfield was born on December 3, 1979 in New Zealand to parents who are social workers but they later moved in the UK. He has two siblings who are also in the music industry namely, Natasha and Nikola Bedingfield. He began writing songs at the tender age of six.
He and his sisters formed a Christian rock band called DNA Algorhythm but the group was not successful. Daniel Bedingfield decided to become a solo artist and began looking for a recording label. Unfortunately, he never found one so he decided to record a single in his bedroom with his computer and microphone. Gotta Get Thru This was produced in a small amount and surprisingly it became a hit. Eventually, he landed a contract with Polydor UK. When Island Records heard of his songs, he was taken by the record as an artist in America where the single also became successful.
On August 2002, he released his debut album Gotta Get Thru This where it reached the second spot in the UK album charts and 41 in the US. Following the success of the dance hit single are another chart topping hits like If You're Not The One and Never Gonna Leave Your Side.
In 2004, his sophomore effort Second First Impression, was released. It was also a hit, reaching the 8th spot in the UK album charts, though it didn't match the massive success his debut album had. Aside from being a successful singer, Daniel Bedingfield is also an active supporter against human trafficking.

[edit] Reviews
Not your typical artist, Daniel Bedingfield who started working on his first single in his bedroom, never thought that it would become a huge success. His unique vocal ability and great songwriting skills has brought him to where he is now. --Raine 19:08, 8 February 2007 (PST)
