Damian Marley is an Award winning Reggae Artist who rose to fame via his debut album, Mr. Marley.

Damian Marley was born on July 21, 1978 in Kingston, Jamaica. Damian is the only child of Bob Marley and Cindy Breakspeare, Miss World 1976. When he was only two years old, when his father died. However, at the early age of 13, he was already a performer; his musical specialty is Deejaying, which is the Jamaican style of rapping.
He formed his own band, The Shephered. The band was even given a chance to open in the 1992 Reggae Sunsplash Festival!
In 1994, Damian started to work on his solo recording career under his father's own label Tuff Gong. After two years of work, he released his first album, Mr. Marley in 1996. It was Followed by his sophomore album, Halfway Tree which was released on Sept. 11, 2001 which won him his first Grammy Award.
His third album, called Welcome To Jamrock was released in September 12, 2005 where he also won 2 Grammy Awards for this album.
