Dah Shinin was released on January 10, 1995 under Wreck Records. The album hit no.59 on the Billboard 200 chart and no.5 on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums. The first single in the album "Bucktown" hit no.93 on the Billboard Hot 100. The second single "Let's Git It On" hit no.95 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. The third single "Wrekonize" peaked no.5 on the Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales. Other hit tracks in the album are "Sound Bwoy Bureill" and "Wontime". The cover of the album was inspired from Roy Ayers Ubiquity's 1972 album 'He's Coming'.
