DJ Quik is an American Hip-Hop singer who rose to fame via his hit album, Quik is The Name.

DJ Quik or "David Martin Blake" in real life was born on January 18, 1970 at Compton, California. In 1990, he signed a recording contract under Profile Records.
His debut album, Quik is The Name was released in 1990. His second album, Way 2 Funky was released in 1992. DJ has released more than 5 hit albums including compilations.
