About
Regarded as one of the post-grunge bands in its genre, Creed, formerly known as the Naked Toodler, entered the music world in Tallahassee, Florida in 1995.
Creed, which composes, Scott Stapp (vocals), Mark Tremonti (guitars), Scott Phillips (drums) and Brett Hestla (bass), started out performing at a live music bar owned by singer and songwriter, Jeff Hanson. It was former band bassist, Brian Marshall who came up with the idea of changing the bands name into “Creed”. Creed’s first independently released single My Own Prison paved the way for the band’s first step to success. To name the band’s unforgettable feats that catapulted them to fame are songs like My Own Prison, With Arms Wide Open, What If and My Sacrifice.
