About
Rapcore band Crazy Town formed on 1995 in Los Angeles. Seth Binzer and Bret Mazur grew up in California. Binzer’s father was an artist and director and Mazur’s father was the manager of Billy Joel. Both boys were exposed to the music of Ice-T and Cypress Hill. Mazur went to school with Divine Styler and Ice Cube. At a young age he started making music. Binzer on the other hand started making demos inspired by hip-hop. The two decided to pursue music full-tme and called themselves Bromstone Sluggers. The duo recorded a lot of works but never succeeded in making an album of their own since they always helped other fellow hip-hopper’s like Black Eyed Pea’s Divin Styler. The duo also admitted them selves in rehab where they came-up with the concept of Crazy Town.
Crazy Town soon came to shape. Rust Epique (guitarist), Anthony "Trouble" Valli (guitarist), Doug "Faydoedeelay" Miller (bassist), DJ A.M. (turntables) and James "JBJ" Bradley J (drummer). The band released their debut album, The Gift Of Game in 1999. It was produced by Josh Abraham and other artist like Mad Lion, Dirty Unit and KRS-One appeared on the album. The single “Butterfly” was a huge hit. In 2002, Darkhorse was issued.
