Connie Talbot was born on November 20, 2000 in Streetly, Metropolitan Borough of Walsall, West Midlands. Connie auditioned for Britain's Got Talent in 2007. Simon was impressed at her the first time she sang in the public. Simon just described her talent as "Pure Magic". Connie reached the finals but lost to "Paul Potts". After the finals, Connie signed a recording contract under Rainbow Recording Company. Her debut album, Over The Rainbow was released in November 26, 2007. The album became hit and was a certified gold in December 2007. The album sold over 50,000 copies in its first two weeks alone. It features the single, "Over The Rainbow".
