Commodore 64 Orchestra is an electronic, New Wave, Italo Disco, and Chicago House group started by Nico Demonte of Computer Music with MOS 6510 on drums and Candy Roxx on vocals. The band’s MOS Technology 6581/8580 SID (Sound Interface Device) Commodore 64, Commodore 128, and occasional Amiga systems. The 1988 release of Superman and Model versions were actively being traded and swapped on the Commodore Bulletin Board Systems (BBS). With over 30 million computers sold, the C64 is the most popular computer of the 1980’s, placing Nico among the 80s fashion and trend setting electro clash bands Kraftwerk, Yaz, Giorgio Moroder, Donna Summer, Italo Disco, Thomas Dolby, Pet Shop Boys, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Roxy Music, Duran Duran, Gary Numan, and the Eurythmics. The group records and performs with multiple Commodore 64 computers that have a very retro feel to the music. C64O has also released under the mp3death label. Characterized as Chip Wave retro music.
