Cobra Starship is an Alternative band. The name of the band came from from two jackets that Saporta owned. The grouo has released two albums and toured with similar bands like Gym Class Heroes, Panic At The Disco and Fall Out Boy.

About
Alternative rock band Cobra Starship began on 2005 in New York City. Gabe Saporta (vocals) was still bard of an emo band, Midtown. He left for the deserts of Arizona trying to find himself. One night he had a dream that a snake bit his neck followed by a talking cobra from the future took care of his wound he awoke from the nightmare thus, Cobra Starship was born. The line-up includes, Ryland Blackinton (guitar, vocals), Alex Suarez (bass), Nate Novarro (drums) and Victoria Asher (keytar).
The band came in the scene with "Snakes on a Plane (Bring It)". It was the lead track of the 2006 film, Snakes on a Plane. Saporta performed with Maja Ivarsson (the Sounds), Travis McCoy (Gym Class Heroes), and William Beckett (The Academy Is...) in this single. The video included Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy. They signed in with Decaydance releasing theie debut album, While the City Sleeps, We Rule the Streets. In some of Starship Cobra's videos Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy appeared on "Send My Love to the Dancefloor, I'll See You In Hell (Hey Mister DJ)". In 2007, Viva La Cobra was issued. Stum produced this video. The lead single "Guilty Pleasure" has two videos. The first one was a home made video edited by their very own Asher. It took place at Saporta's place. The second one, included Stump as their producer. It was followed by the release of "The City Is at War".
