About
The group hailed from Moss Side, Manchester, England. Raised by a session singer mother, the three siblings grew up being exposed to almost all types of music genre including reggae. Not long after, the sisters entered a local talent show with the support of their mother. They competed with thirty groups but they're name rised above the rest. After doing the rendition of En Vogue's Hold On, the sisters won the competition. From there, they caught the eye of two organizers of the competiton, Errol Walters and Tony Lovell, who took the chance to have them signed to a management contract.
They started out by playing at the local scene around Manchester and opening for acts sich as Ice-T, Mica Paris and Michelle Gayle. Six years of hard work has paid off when they audition for an a capella in Warner Brothers where they were eventually offered a recording contract.
That same year, they did an a capella of their debut single, Cleopatra's Theme at the prestigious Brit Awards. They immediately found stardom and their single has catapulted them to fame. By 1998, they released their much awaited debut album, Comin' Atcha! where they gained nominations.
Cleopatra was picked by Madonna's label, Maverick, and their first US performance was at the Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards. From then on, they have captured the audience with their powerful voices which has won them numerous positive reviews.
Their sophomore effort, Steppin' Out has even raise to to the top. This album has revealed the mature and sexier side of the siblings. Extensive tour and promotions around the US led them to talkshows and even becoming the new spokeswoman for Covergirl. They've performed with successful acts including, Brian McKnight, Next, Nelly and Jessica Simpson. Though the girls were enjoying the fame in the US, problems are starting to sink in back in the UK. Their second album was not released in the UK due to lack of promotion. Their Warner record label met with Cleo who now want to take her as a solo artist since she had written the songs of the group and sang lead. The group eventually disbanded in 2001 and Cleo went to become a solo artist who's set to release her single later this 2007.

Reviews
Cleopatra is the real deal. What makes them different with other young groups is that they have powerful voices incorporated with the sound and style of their own. --Raine 20:34, 23 June 2007 (PDT)
