Clea are formed in 2002 which comprised of the contestants of the TV show, Popstars: The Rivals namely, "Chloe Staines", "Lynsey Brown", Emma Beard" and "Aimee Kearsley". After they were elimated from the series, they decided to formed a new Girl Group. In 2003, they signed a recording contract under 1967 Records. They issued their first single, "Download It" in that same year. It chartered at #21 on the UK Singles Chart. Their second single, "Stuck in The Middle" was released in February 2004 and landed at #23 on the UK Singles Chart.
In May 2004, Chloe left the band. The two previous released singles were included in their debut album, Identity Crisis which was issued in Russian, Eastern Europe and several Asian Countries. The album was just a minor hit. Their single, "We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off" was released in September 2005 and chartered at #35 on the UK Singles Chart. Their second album, Trinity was released in July 2006 under Upside Records. It landed at #258 on the UK Albums Chart. In 2006, Lynsey left the band. Aimee and Emma decided also leave the band also and formed a new dance duo called, "LoveShy".
