Chubb Rock is an American Rap Singer. He released several hit albums which includes, I Gotta Get Mine Yo.

Chubb Rock or "Richard Simpson" in real life was born on May 28, 1968 at Jamaica. He joined several groups when he was still in teenager and decided to dropped out from college to concentrate on his rapping career. His self-titled debut album was released in 1988 under Champ Records and landed at #54 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. His next album, And The Winner Is... was released in 1989 by Select Records. The album landed at #28 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. In 1991, he released his next album, The One which reached #13 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. The album features the singles, "Just The Two of Us", "Treat Em Right" and "The Chubbster". I Gotta Get Mine Yo was issued in 1992 and landed at #24 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. In 1997, his album, The Mind was released and landed at #45 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart.
