Christy Carlson Romano is an American Pop Singer and Disney Artist who rose to fame via her hit single, "Dive In".

Christy Carlson Romano or "Christy Michelle Romano" in real life was born on March 20, 1984 at Milford, Connecticut, USA to "Sharon Carlson" and "Anthony Romano". She studied in Orange Ave Elementary School, a Catholic School in Connecticut. She began acting at the tender age of six, which led to playing one of the orphans in Annie.
Christy also began touring in "The Will Rogers Follies" as one of Will Rogers sons. She also toured in The Sound Of Music with Marie Osmond as one of the Von Trapp children. She made her Broadway debut in the musical play entitled, "Parade" in 1997. Christy was also part of the off-broadway musical "Stars in Your Eyes" in 1999. Her film career started when she perform as a singing banana in Woody Allen's movie "Everybody Says I Love You".
In 2002, Christy came the first person to act in three Disney Channel projects simultaneously, with her work as Even Stevens. She was also included in the Disney movie "Cadet Kelly" with Hilary Duff who is the lead star. Christy starred in a 31 week run of playing Belle in Disney's Beauty and the Beast on Broadway where she replaced Megan McGinnis as Belle in February 2004.
She has recorded songs in the soundtracks of most of the Disney movies and Disney TV movies. Her self-titled debut album, was released in 2004 under Disney Records. It features her hit single, "Dive In". In 2005, Christy won the very first Connecticut's Finest award. Christy graduated in Barnard College of Columbia University in 2006 majoring in English and Internal Relations.
