Chris Isaak is an American Rock Singer who rose to fame via his debut album, Silvertone.

Chris Isaak or "Christopher Joseph Isaak" in real life was born on June 26, 1956 at Stockton, California to "Dorothy Isaak", a potato chip factory worker and "Joe Isaak", a forklift driver. He was one of the valedictorians of his graduating class at Stagg High School, Stockton, California in 1974. He graduated at University of the Pacific in 1980.
From a working-class background, he earned his bachelor's degree in English literature, and then studied in Japan for a year. He worked in film studio there and boxed as a light heavyweight amateur. Sang at parties and played rockabilly and Elvis Presley tunes on his guitar.
In 1981, he formed his backup band called Silvertone with "James Calvin Wilsey" on guitar, "Kenny Dale Johnson" on drums and "Rowland Salley" on bass. He signed a recording contract under Warner Bros. in 1985 and released his debut album, Silvertone. The album features two singles, "Gone Ridin" and "Livin' for Your Lover". After two years, Chris released his self-titled album.
His next album, Heart Shaped World was released in 1989. The album features the number one hit single, "Wicked Game". The album sold over a million copies in United States alone. After its release, the singer began an acting career. He appeared a bit role on the movie "Married to The Mob". He also appeared in the movies, "A Dirty Shame" and "The Silence of The Lambs". Chris spawned more hit albums, Forever Blue in 1995, Baja Sessions in 1996 and Always Got Tonight in 2004.
