Chris_Brown is an American R&B singer,dancer and actor who rose to fame in mid-2005 when he released his debut single Run It which became number one in the Billboard Hot 100.

Chris_Brown was born on May 5, 1989 at Tappahannock, Virginia to Clinton Brown and Joyce Hawkins. Chris was influenced by Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Sam Cooke. At the age of 13, Chris was already discovered by local producers. They saw Chris at his father's gas station when the time they are looking for a new talent.
In the year 2004, Chris signed a recording contract with Jive Records. By mid-2005, he released his debut single Run It which eventually became number one not only in the United Stated but worldwide. His self-titled debut album was released on November 29, 2005 and reached number 2 on the charts.
Chris will get into the studio for his third album, which will be released in 2009. He said about the future album: "I'll be almost twenty, so we can get a little dirty, but not R. Kelly dirty." In November 2006, Chris has sang Thriller in tribute to Michael Jackson at the World Music Awards in London.
In his short career, Chris has already won a host of awards. He won the Best New Artist award at the NAACP Awards, Best New R&B Artist from the Soul Train Awards.

- On February 9, 2009, Chris Brown turned to police after suspicion on criminal threats. He was accused of domestic violence charges for beating an unidentified woman, which later on turned out to be his girlfriend, Rihanna. Rihanna suffered visible injuries.
- After the February 9, 2009 incident, many of his commercial endorsements were suspended and withdrew from being publicly seen including the 2009 Grammy Awards. He was replaced by Justin Timberlake and Al Green for the performance.
