Chingy is an African American Hip-Hop Artist. He was a former member of the band Disturbing Tha Peace Collective with Ludacris. He is known for his songs "Right Thurr" and "Holidae Inn".

Rapper Chingy was born March 9, 1980. His real name is Howard Bailey, Jr. At the age of 12 years old he already started rapping and was a regular on a battle rap sessions. He signed with Disturbing Tha Peace labeI and started going on tour with Nelly. In 2003, his single debut single, Jackpot was a three time Platinum album. The album included the single "Right Thurr" which topped the Top Hot Rhythmic Top 40 Track. The track "Holidae In" featuring Snoop Dogg and Ludacris, "One Call Away" was also a radio hit. The following year his second album, PowerBallin was released. The album went Platinum. He worked with Keith McMasters, Vudu and The Beatstaz in the album. It was recorded in Chingy's home studio. Chingy puts the St. Louis sound into his music.
