Chevelle is a hard rock metal band which originally composed of brothers Sam and Pete with Joe Loeffler. The trio formed in 1994 with the hit song "The Red".

About
Alternative metal band Chevelle was formed in 1994 in Grayslake, Illinois by Pete Loeffler (vocals, guitar), Dean Bernadini (bass) and Sam Loeffler (drums). Their genre was previously a christian rock band but they are more classified as an alternative metal. Chevelle's debut album, Point #1, which was released under Squint Entertainment in 1999. Their songs are influenced by their religious beliefs. Three years later, Chevelle decided to switch label and signed in with Epic Records. In 2002, their follow-up album, Wonder What's Next, was issued. The album later went platinum with the help of the single "Send the Pain Below". The single peaked the Modern Rock Charts. Chevelle went on the Ozzfest tour to promote their album. In 2003, Live From The Road, a live album was released followed by This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In) in 2004.

- The name of the band came from Pete and Sam's love for cars especially the Chevrolet line.
- The group contributed a song for the movie soundtrack The Punisher titled "Still Running".
