Celine Dion is a French-Canadian, Grammy and Juno award winning pop singer, songwriter and actress. She began her career in music early 1980's as a French singer before breaking the international music scene by storm in the 1990's.

Born Céline Marie Claudette Dion on born March 30, 1968, she is professionally known as Celine Dion who is of French and Canadian decent. She was born to a large and impoverished family in Charlemagne, Quebec. As a teen, she achieved minor successes in her local hometown in Canada where her manager who became her future husband, René Angélil, sold his home to finance her first record.
It was on 1982 that she gained recognition in parts of Europe and Asia after she won the Yamaha World Popular Song Festival and on 1988, won the Eurovision Song Contest. Success came one after another where on 1990 she gained popularity worldwide after her release of her English debut album Unison. Several English records were released after such as the famous "My Heart Will Go On" on 1998, which became the theme to the 1997 film Titanic.
On 1999, she decided to give herself a temporary break from music to take care of her husband who was diagnosed with cancer. And upon her return on 2004 from the three-year hiatus released A New Day Has Come. On the same year, she accumulated a record sales of 175 million becoming the Best Selling Female Artist in the World.
