Cartel is a five-piece emo pop-punk band formed in 2003 at Conyers, Georgia USA. They are best known from their Honestly from their 2006 debut album, Chroma.

About
Cartel is comprised of vocalist Will Pugh, guitarists John Peppers and Nic Hudson, bassist Ryan Roberts and drummer Kevin Sanders. After releasing their debut EP, Ransom they landed a deal with Militia Group and the label re-issue the said EP in 2004.
Then on, they full-length debut album Chroma appeared in September 2005. Due to its commercial success, the band has been included in the roster of Alternative Press's 2005 list of Bands You Need To Know as well as regarded Yahoo! Music's winner in the Who's Next competition and Breaker Artist by AOL music in March 2006.
In early 2006, Cartel signed to Epic and tour throughout the rest of the year with artists like New Found Glory and The Starting Line. That same year, Ryan Roberts left the group, which had been replaced by Jeff Lett.
Their biggest break happened in May 2007 when they participated in the American version of the Band in a Bubble wherein they have to stay inside the bubble for 20 days writing and recording songs for their sophomore album, (Cartel (album|Cartel).
The band left the bubble on June 12, 2007 and performed a live concert as well as released their single Lose It on iTunes and Napster.
