Capital Punishment (album) was released on April 28, 1998 under RCA records. The album ranked no.5 on the Billboard 200 and no.1 on the Top Canadian chart. The first single in the album featuring fellow rapper Joe peaked no.57 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and no.7 on the hot dance chart. The single was also ranked as the 108th best song of 1980-2005 by Blender Magazine. The second single "You Came Up" featuring Noreaga hit no.43 on the Hot Rap Singles. The third single "Punish Me" ranked no.87 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks.
